Join us for a unique and fun evening where Aurora, one of our co-founders, will lead you in a bardic circle workshop.
Bardic circles have existed in many cultures, and in many forms. In Welsh druidry, it is called an Eisteddfod, which is traditionally a competition of art, music, and poetry. It has been a staple of Welsh culture since the 18th century. In modern Druidry, the Eisteddfod is less formal, and is hosted as a gathering of creative minds to share and entertain!
Our first bardic circle will be simple... We're going to create poetry together! All supplies will be provided, we just need you to come with an open mind, and a willingness to participate! Don't worry, you don't have to be a skilled writer, or poet in order to participate.
We will start with some simple guided meditation and breathing, a call to the creative energies, and an invitation to the muses to join us for the evening. We will have a community altar set up at the event for anyone who wishes to bring an item to place on it. Acceptable items for the altar include flutes, drums, drumsticks, pens, markers, paintbrushes, guitar picks, etc... anything that you use to create music, poetry or art with.
We hope this event will be a fun, relaxing evening filled with laughter and entertainment!
